Three Wise Men by Jeff R. Graham

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Design 2005/2006 (for all of my customers)

Tourmaline 3 Wise Men"Three Wise Men" - Cutting Remarks

Shown at left and left bottom is a 11.7mm ~5.76 carat "Three Wise Men" cut from flawless Nigerian Tourmaline by Jeff Graham. "Three Wise Men" performs well low with RI materials like quartz and beryl and is designed for light saturation's.
The "Three Wise Men" followed the brightest star in the sky.

Here is a bright star design to facet that is meant to help celebrate the Christmas season and what it represents. Of course this design can be cut any time of the year.

This design is intended to be cut in to a large stone ( I would suggest 10mm or larger for the best effect) and in light to medium saturated materials. Cut in refractive indexes 1.54 to 2.14 with no changes.

This design is basically a "Mirage Cut" and has a low number of facets (41). The amount of color and sparkle this design has is impressive, and it is an excellent example of less is more. Which for people that know my work… "less is more" is one of my goals when creating designs.

"Three Wise Men" cut, 5.67-ct, Nigerian tourmaline, by Jeff Graham.

This design is for many of my customers that have wished out loud for a "Mirage Cut" online for every one to be able to cut. This design cuts a very lively, brilliant stone and it's both fast and easy to cut. This design is great for faceters of about any experience level and I think will become a favorite of many people that cut it.

I enjoyed cutting it myself for a nice change of pace. I do not cut on a 80 index very much, although every time I do I think I should cut on a 80 index more often.

Enjoy cutting your "Three Wise Men"… Drop me an email to let me know your results and what you've cut, or feel free to inquire if you have any questions or need some help regarding this design.
