Light House: Online Faceting Designs and Diagrams
A “Money Cut” is a gem design that’s fast and easy with great performance. That’s what Jeff Graham’s Light House cut is all about. This design works very well for faceters of all skill levels, especially novices.
You can find cutting instructions for the Light House here.
Cutting Remarks
As the stone gets large (over 8 mm), especial in lighter colored material, I recommend cutting a table. This will eliminate the typical "eye" that an apex crown leaves.
This design works in natural quartz, tourmaline, topaz, garnet, and sapphire as well as lab-created materials. I use this for earring stones quite a bit.
Enjoy cutting your "Light House."
