The Blue Ice cut performs well for materials with low refractive indices (RI) in medium to light colors. Try it on gems like beryl, quartz, and topaz.

Cutting Remarks

Blue Ice - aquamarine
An approximately 7.5-ct, 29 mm x 9.5 mm Blue Ice cut from a very lightly saturated aquamarine crystal by Jeff Graham.

This gem design is easy to cut. However, it can be hard to polish because of the large facets and keel.

Cut a preform length to width ratio (L/W) = 3.000. P6, P7 are there to help prevent chips, no meets.
